Well, i'm back at work after the weekend conference. Alhumdulillah, it was largely a success. I spent most of my time on the info desk dealing with queries of lost children, call outs for doctors and giving directions.
The Saturday lectures were unfortunately a bit lightweight due to some of the speakers not having prepared their topics, but Sunday's lectures were a blinder! sh. Ja'far Idris, Sh. Salim al-Amry, Dr. Mamdouh, Dr. Yasin Dutton & Muhammad al-Shareef all delivered excellent lectures, masha'Allah. I'm waiting for the mp3s to be put up on the web so that i can listen to them properly - especially Dr. Dutton's which was a real eye-opener.
I also had a chance to meet Irtizah from the Al-Maghrib institute and discuss the feasibility of bringing it over to London. Masha'Allah he was a really nice brother to meet.
What i miss now is the sight of all those brothers and sisters dressed modestly, all having come to learn about the religion of Allah. Alhumdulillah, for a couple of days the area seemed like a small Muslim village.
Anyway, i think the Americans are gearing themselves up for the ISNA conference due to take place shortly insha'Allah. I'm not going there. I'm already married (wink).

Yah akhi, I know what you mean about being around so many muslims, so different from what we get the rest of the year.
On the other hand...
"Marry 2 or 3 or 4.." is it not? :P
Though I'm of the opinion that is the last place you want to be looking..
