Well i handed in my resignation yesterday. My manager wasn't in so i handed the letter to the new HR lady, so i'm yet to receive an 'official' reaction. I have a four week notice period, and i can't wait to get out of here.
The guys who were going to be made redundant got their pay-offs last Friday, and two of them have already found work, alhumdulillah.
I'm really annoyed with myself. I let this whole stupid work thing get in the way of benefitting from Ramadan as i should have. This was one of the worst Ramadan's for me in recent years. But now that things are a bit less hectic i can work on getting back to the usual routine of reading and memorisation (the latter of which i hardly did the entire month).
Eid was nice though. Me and my wife went to pray at Regents Park Mosque. The masjid has 6 jamaats and it holds thousands of people! I'll probaly make that my regular place for Eid prayers now.
I called up Al-Hidaayah and they told me that my Hajj tickets are booked alhumdulillah, and i'm really beginning to look forward to it. Any recommendations for a good Hajj guide anyone?
The other good news is that we'll be moving to a new house soon, insha'Allah. Finally some space of our own. The house is empty at the moment and we want to get some structural work done on it before we actually start moving things in. Hopefully all that can be done well before we leave for Hajj, insha'Allah.
