I wrote my own reply to this article here. Basically, I think the use of the term "fascism" is too facile here - not every dictator is a fascist. Fascism has certain characteristics, prominent among them being a strong personality cult, which I don't believe all of her examples of dictatorship had. There is a bigger danger, which is that the US could slide into the corrupt and repressive politics of the banana republic rather than into fascism as such.
